We also want expectant parents to have the support and resources they need to navigate their pregnancy journey. Thanks to a planning grant through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.midiowahealth.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mid-Iowa Health Foundation<\/a>, in 2020 we were able to create a new tool on the <em>Count the Kicks<\/em> app to better serve expectant parents in Central Iowa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new tool connects app users with the resources they need to navigate their pregnancy journey. Partnering with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iowaaces360.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Iowa ACEs 360<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.everystep.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">EveryStep<\/a>, we created a survey for Iowa <em>Count the Kicks<\/em> app users that appears after their second kick counting session. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This survey asks questions about an app user\u2019s support system, as well as their mental and physical health. It also connects them to resources available through the Iowa Family Support Network to learn more about options available to them during this time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The IFSN website is a resource directory providing care and support referral&nbsp; to Iowa\u2019s families and children. Parents can find assistance for anything from access to group-based services, to family support, food pantries and mental health services.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are grateful to our partners for their help in connecting our app users with critical resources to support their mental and physical health.
