We have laser vision for the future: <\/span>To save 6,000 babies every year in the U.S.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the CDC,<\/a> we lose an average of 20,729 babies to stillbirth every year in America. Stillbirth (defined as the loss of a baby at 20+ weeks of pregnancy) happens to 1 in every 185 pregnancies in our country. Every day nearly 60 families will hear the devastating news that their baby no longer has a heartbeat. <\/span><\/p>\n

Despite this, stillbirth remains one of the most underfunded, under-researched and overlooked maternal health outcomes. <\/span>We’re on a mission to change this<\/a> through education, advocacy and research.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

In the first 10 years of Count the Kicks<\/em> in Iowa, the state\u2019s stillbirth rate decreased nearly 32%. We want to achieve the same success in all 50 states, which would save more than 6,000 babies every year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
